Join us to take an active part in restoring coral reefs

It is a full day filled with education, training and, of course, diving! Days will begin at 8:30 am with an educational training where you will learn about corals, their environment, and how you will help underwater (read more to get started). If you have participated in the training within six months of your scheduled coral restoration activities, you do not have to attend the morning training session. In the afternoon, you will make 2 dives to assist the I.CARE team by transplanting coral, maintaining the reef, removing snails and algae from our sites, and monitoring previously transplanted corals!

Since buoyancy control is crucial to restoring the reef, I.CARE does require each participating diver to have a minimum of 30 logged dives. If you do not meet this requirement, the I.CARE team asks that you dive with one of our partnering dive shops before your scheduled coral restoration day so they can sign off on your buoyancy skills.

See below for our monthly schedule and click on a participating dive shop to visit their website! Please contact the dive shop that corresponds to your schedule to secure your spot so they can help with all your equipment needs!

Key Dives: 2nd & 4th Saturday of every month

Islamorada Dive Center: 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month

Conch Republic Divers: 3rd Sunday of every month

All I.CARE activities are permitted by the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission
